About
Laguna is Poolside's family of agentic coding models, built for long, multi-step software work such as exploring a codebase, editing files, running tests, and iterating on a fix. Poolside trains them from scratch in its in-house Model Factory; all are text-only Mixture-of-Experts models. The first two were Laguna M.1 (225B total, 23B active parameters) and Laguna XS.2 (33B total, 3B active), Poolside's first open-weight release; both now support 256K context. Laguna XS 2.1 added native reasoning between tool calls, and Laguna S 2.1 is a 118B-total, 8B-active open-weight model with up to 1M tokens of context. The models are available through Poolside's API and OpenRouter.
