About
MAI-DS-R1 is a 671B-parameter reasoning model post-trained by the Microsoft AI team on top of DeepSeek-R1. The post-training improves responsiveness on previously blocked topics and the model's safety/risk profile while preserving DeepSeek-R1 reasoning capabilities. It is available through Azure AI Foundry and as open weights on Hugging Face under the MIT license.
