The RedPajama-INCITE-7B models, developed by Together Computer in collaboration with the open-source AI community, offer a diverse family of large language models, including a base model, an instruction-tuned version, and a chat version. These models share architectural similarities with the Pythia suite and incorporate 6.9 billion parameters, trained on a massive 1.001 trillion token corpus. They excel in natural language processing tasks such as text generation, question answering, few-shot learning, instruction following, and engaging in coherent conversations. Despite their robust capabilities, they have limitations in accuracy for complex queries, ethical considerations in content use, and substantial resource requirements, emphasizing the importance of responsible use. Additionally, ongoing development aims to enhance these models by increasing the token capacity to 2-3 trillion.
