SaulLM-54B-Instruct is the instruction-tuned and preference-aligned version of SaulLM-54B. Trained via continued pretraining on 540B+ legal tokens, specialized legal instruction fine-tuning, and human preference alignment using Mixtral as a judge. Achieves state-of-the-art results among open-source legal LLMs on LegalBench-Instruct (NeurIPS 2024).
