Code Examples

Install
pip install replicate
API key
REPLICATE_API_TOKEN
Model ID
krea/krea-3

Replicate uses "owner/model-name" format (e.g. "meta/meta-llama-3-8b-instruct") for the latest version, or "owner/model-name:version-sha" to pin to a specific version. The REST endpoint splits owner and model-name into the path: /v1/models/{owner}/{model-name}/predictions.

import replicate

# reads REPLICATE_API_TOKEN from env
# krea/krea-3 format: "owner/model-name" (latest version) or "owner/model-name:version-hash"
output = replicate.run(
    "krea/krea-3",
    input={"prompt": "Hello"}
)
# Output is a list or generator depending on the model
print("".join(output))

About Krea 3

Krea 3 is Krea's in-house image editing model, released October 15, 2026. It follows plain-language edit instructions, can combine up to eight reference images, also generates images from text, and outputs 1K or native 2K images; Krea says most edits finish in under 8 seconds. Thinking modes are fast (default) and high, plus ultra, listed separately as Krea 3 Ultra; regional edits keep the rest of an image unchanged. The Krea API charges $0.06 per 2K image ($0.03 at 1K) plus reference-image fees. Weights are not public; Krea licenses them for enterprise self-hosting.
