Devstral is Mistral AI’s agentic language-model family for software engineering, developed with All Hands AI. Unlike models focused mainly on single-function completion, Devstral is trained to work inside coding-agent scaffolds such as OpenHands or SWE-Agent on real repository issues. Mistral positions it as light enough for local or single-GPU use while still useful for enterprise agentic coding and IDE copilots; the initial public release is the Devstral Small research preview.
