Jurassic-1, a family of large language models developed by AI21 Labs, includes two notable models: J1-Jumbo, boasting 178 billion parameters, and J1-Large, with 7 billion parameters. These autoregressive models excel in predicting the next word in a sequence, enabling them to tackle various tasks such as text generation, question answering, and text classification. Trained on an extensive corpus of English text, Jurassic-1 models are renowned for their impressive vocabulary of 250,000 tokens, which enhances efficiency and reduces latency compared to other LLMs. Access to these models is provided through AI21 Studio, an API, and interactive web platform that also allows for custom model training with minimal datasets.
