About Qwen Image Max
Qwen-Image-Max is a hosted text-to-image model in Alibaba's Qwen Image line, released on Alibaba Cloud Model Studio on 30 December 2025 as the snapshot qwen-image-max-2025-12-30. It takes a text prompt only and returns one image per request, at 1664×928 by default with preset sizes including 1328×1328, 1472×1104 and 928×1664. Alibaba positions it above Qwen-Image-Plus for photorealism, skin and natural textures, and text rendering, and describes the qwen-image-plus-2026-01-09 snapshot as a distilled, faster version of Max. It costs $0.075 per image. Qwen Cloud scheduled it for retirement on 10 October 2026 and names qwen-image-3.0 as the replacement. No weights were published.
